The Switch turns out to be a huge hit for Nintendo.

The big take away from the Nintendo earnings release today is the positive outlook the Japanese video game maker has on the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo forecasts to sell 10 million Nintendo Switch consoles in the next 12 month.

The Nintendo Switch console sold 2.74 million units to date. The 10 million sales forecast sounds actually conservative to us. The Holiday 2017 shopping season will be incredible for Switch sales based on the wild demand for the hybrid console so far.

Nintendo also teased today that there are more Switch games coming in 2017 than we know about. The Switch game line-up is still very limited. More new blockbuster games will help push the Nintendo Switch sales beyond the 10 million. We expect that Nintendo will have sold 15 million Nintendo Switch consoles by April 2018.

The Nintendo Switch with Gray Joy-Con and the Nintendo Switch with Neon Joy-Con continue to be hard to find. The last week of April will give many video game fans finally what they are looking for since beginning of March, when Nintendo launched the new Switch console.

The reseller prices for the Nintendo Switch keep steady at $100 above the list price. The prices for the the Nintendo Switch with Neon Joy-Con are slightly higher.

Nintendo and retailers are using the launch of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as the date to restock the Nintendo Switch console. The Switch is in stock at several retailers already all week. Find out which retailer are restocking the Switch now and on Friday.

The new Nintendo Switch launched on March 3 and as expected, it sold out on launch day. Nintendo's comments that there would be enough Switch consoles in March to satisfy demand turned out to be untrue. The company struggles to make enough Switch consoles to date.

The Nintendo Switch is a completely new video game concept. It's a mobile console first with removable small controllers. The mobile unit with display rests in a Nintendo Switch console connected to your TV.

The mobile unit slides inside the Switch docking station, where it also gets charged. The small controllers that are detachable from the mobile unit also slide onto a home controller.

The Nintendo Switch games sell for $59.99 like the games for the PS4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch game line-up includes Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo killed region locking on the Nintendo Switch. Any game sold in any region is playable on the Nintendo Switch.

The system includes the main console, Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R) controllers, a Joy-Con grip (to which two Joy-Con are attached and used as one controller), a set of Joy-Con wrist straps, a Nintendo Switch dock (which holds the main console and connects it to a TV), an HDMI cable and an AC adapter. Two versions of the system are available: a version with a set of gray Joy-Con, and a version with one neon blue and one neon red Joy-Con. Read the lastest Nintendo Switch news.
