All the big studios know that this is the time to make the big bucks and all the movie lovers know that the summer box office satisfies all their movie cravings for the year to some extent. So, without any further ado, here are the most anticipated summer blockbuster for 2017:

1. Baywatch

Release Date: May 19, 2017
Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alessandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra

The remake of the hit 90s TV show is Paramount’s perfect kick start to the summer movie session. With Dwayne Johnson emphasizing on body perfect cast and the beach life with a hot plot and a hotter villain in Priyanka Chopra, Baywatch is a must watch for all the people who loved the TV show. Plus, much of the TV show cast is confirmed to appear in the movie as well.

2. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Starring: Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Geoffrey Rush, Kaya Scodelario

Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow once more and this time he will meet an old nemesis who is out to kill him. The best part is that we will get to see the Turners again and two new characters.

3. Wonder Woman

Starring: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright

Ever since her appearance in the Batman vs. Superman movie, DCEU fans have been looking forward to seeing the legendary heroine in her standalone movie. With Gal Gadot embodying the female superhero, we will take Diana’s journey from the start and see how she became the Wonder Woman.

4. Spiderman: Homecoming

Like Wonder Woman, Marvel gave us our movie to look forward to in Tom Holland’s Spiderman when he made his first appearance in Captain America: Civil War in 2016. Ever since then, Sony and Marvel have collaborated to make Spiderman: Homecoming into one of the most anticipated movies of the summer 2017. The movie will feature the origin story of Peter Parker but with a new Marvel spin.

5. The Mummy

Revamped and rejuvenated, Tom Cruise steps into the 2000’s adventure classic trilogy that has achieved a cult status for many fans. Tom Cruise will be the new subject of an awakened Mummy who will bring new kinds of evil to the world and threaten to destroy all as we know it.

6. Despicable Me 3

Starring: Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Trey Parker

The most beloved villain returns once more and he is up to no good. After being disgraced by a kniving new thief Balthazar Blatt, Gru will meet his twin brother Dru for a mission of evil. The Minion will be making their return as well.

7. Transformers: The Last Knight

Transformers’ fans are excited to see the Autobots return to the big screen after three years. With cast from the previous four movies banding together to save the world from Optimus Prime who had turned against human race.

8. War for the Planet of The Apes

The adaptation of Stephen King’s famous of the same name, Nikolaj Arcel brings the conquest of Roland Deschain to find the Dark Tower before he comes face to face with the Man in Black.
