M. Night Shyamalan has made some revelations about the Split sequel and here are the five facts you need to know about it

It is undeniable that M. Night Shyamalan made his big return in the psychological thriller, Split starring James McAvoy in 24 different personalities with the Beast lurking as the climax of the movie. Yet there were so many unanswered questions that the fans wanted to ask about the plot that Shyamalan promised that there would be a sequel to the movie.

It seemed like another brilliant Shyamalan top of the hat cinematic experience and fans could not wait to hear news of more and M. Night Shyamalan has finally revealed his schemes for this sequel in a series of tweets and here are the five facts that we have come to know about it.

Split Was a Long-term Project

The first revelation that might have taken everyone by surprise was that Split was just not a new project. Shyamalan revealed that he had been working on the script of Split for 15 years. He said that he had already written some scenes fifteen years ago and has made many alterations and additions ever since.

Split Was Always Related to Unbreakable

It was an exciting moment for many when the end scene of Split focused on a man sitting at the bar who turned out to be Bruce Willis. A somewhat favorite of Shyamalan, Willis had appeared in his most notable projects The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Shyamalan revealed that Willis’ presence at the end of the movie was in the capacity of David Dunn from Unbreakable. He then went on to reveal that Split was always going to be related to Unbreakable.

The Title will be Glass

The title of the sequel was also revealed by Shyamalan and it is most unexpected. Shyamalan revealed that the title of the sequel will be Glass. He explained that it is a reference to Samuel L. Jackson’s character Elijah Price aka Mr. Glass from Unbreakable.

Anticipated Plot

Shyamalan’s tweets have given us ample reason to believe that the plot of the movie will bring the characters of both the movies, Unbreakable and Split. The movie’s premise will focus on a more sinister force at work against which these three known characters, namely Price, Dunn and Crumb will join forces.

Anticipated Cast

In more than confirming annotations, Shyamalan has somewhat confirmed the cast for the movie Glass. He said that James McAvoy, Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson will return to reprise their roles from Split and Unbreakable respectively.
