  • UK Man Flies High Via Iron Man Suit

A man from the UK who also happens to be an inventor has flown high via an Iron Man suit.

Brit inventor Richard Browning underwent lift-off from Vancouver Harbor. He was wearing a suit be invented himself which earned him the moniker “Iron Man” after the comic book hero.

Via thrusters that were fitted onto his arms and rear side, Richard Browning accomplished a ring-like movement and hovered for a brief moment off the ground. Those who were present were amazed at this feat of engineering.

The venue was the famous TED Conference. According to Richard Browning, the flight suit was capable of higher flights too. Yet he chose to remain close to the level of the ground since he wanted to play it safe.

Also the suit could allow for faster passage through the air. What Richard Browning showed once and for all is that one man could do a lot. He was a classic example of an autodidactic person who studied and built his flight suit from scratch.

The human mind and body were capable of achieving some very cool stuff provided one had the will. Once one had a will, there was always a way.

Browning told the gathered crowd about how he loved to tinker with reality and experimented often with all sorts of odds and ends of equipment. The result was that he slowly but steadily began to plan for a suit that would allow him to fly.

By attaching replicas of jet engines to his limbs and body, Browning was well onto achieving solo flight without the aid of any airplane, helicopter or rocket. Several times during the experimental stages he fell to the ground and suffered minor scratches and bumps.

According to this man, it was all about learning from his mistakes. By constant trial and error, he honed his flight suit, and the style with which he operated it, to perfection.

At first, he engaged in a six second flight. He also used an earlier version of the suit before the present one. Currently, a one minute long video clip of Browning using his flight suit has been posted on YouTube and it has had a million views.

Already, interested investors and the military complex are in touch with Browning regarding his suit. Browning wants to go even further with his suit.

It is his dream to have a suit one fine day that will allow him to soar into the horizon and land at a far-off spot. Browning takes his inspiration from his dad who was an engineer too and tragically died at an early age.
