Samsung and Qualcomm are building Galaxy S9’s SoC

It hasn’t been a week since the worldwide launch of Galaxy S8 and the first rumor regarding the Galaxy S9 has arrived. Apparently, tech giants like Samsung never sleep, its believed that Samsung Galaxy S9 is already on Samsung’s workbench.

A report surfaced today, claiming that Qualcomm and Samsung have already started working on the chipset for Galaxy S9. The Snapdragon 845, the chipset being designed as the iterative to SD835 by Samsung and Qualcomm, will be produced either in Samsung’s factories or by TSMC.

Snapdragon 835 is the fastest chipset ruling the android mobile industry right now. Although benchmarks have shown that Apple A10 is much faster than Qualcomm’s current marvel.

Snapdragon 845 will be built to change that situation, though Apple is also going to feature another article of unimaginable processing power in the iPhone 8. This particular report did not have any information to offer on Samsung’s Exynos 8895 chipset or its future.

This is a bit odd, as Exynos 8895 is also one of the fastest mobile chipsets in the world and is featured largely in international variants of Galaxy S8. It may be possible that Samsung may put Exynos series to a pause, as they will be working with Qualcomm on producing the next fastest SoC of the world.
