The truck seems to be as any truck would appear to be. However, its design is smooth and streamlined. The windshield and upper portion seem to meld into each other.

Even the headlights look like the ones used on Tesla’s electric vehicles. These include the Model X and Model S among them. One must suppose that there is a level of design continuity between Tesla’s consumer vehicles and its commercial forms of transportation.

The semi truck is not just about a flashy exterior though. Musk announced from the podium that the truck will be a very spry vehicle. It can be given the maneuverability of a sports car.

According to TechCrunch, Musk furthermore spoke of how he himself had taken it for some road-testing. The ride in the semi truck went like a breeze. Yet this truck will not come out on the streets till September of this year.

Musk spoke of how this semi truck would probably be able to outmatch many of the big ones you find on the roads. Besides this, Musk gave hints as to four new gigafactories which will have their own respective sites at various locations.

Elon Musk recently met with the Chinese Vice Premier to discuss matters having to do with one of the gigafactory’s location.
