The all-new Amazon Alexa is about to be souped up complete with a Knight speaker and 7 inch touchscreen in tow.

Amazon is ready to give its Echo speaker a makeover. Also a screen will be among the changes made to this device. May will be the month when Amazon will reveal its new Echo device, according to CNet. It has earned its codename of “Knight”.

Echo Look came out earlier this week and it contains a camera to boot. It sells for $200.

Amazon basically got a clarion call to make some changes in its device after Google had its home smart speakers being utilized by many users. Echo didn’t have this feature.

Amazon now wants to upgrade its devices so that they can keep up with what Google is churning out on a regular basis. This novel device may allow Amazon to diversify and engage in the betterment of the facilities it provides via its wonderful products.

The Echo device will get video chatting and online shopping facilities thereby making it a chief component of every home. Amazon has already sold 8 million Echo devices in the United States.

The novel version of this device will arrive with a 7 inch touchscreen. This is a very big about-turn by Amazon. Its erstwhile devices were cylindrical in design and were handled by and responded to a voice recognition methodology termed Alexa.

The new device will be bigger and face upwards so that the screen will be fully visible to the owner. As for the speakers, they will be top notch in their quality and style.

Amazon is currently facing a stiff sort of competition from its rivals. The novel Amazon device will have a version of the Fire OS on it. Recently this device was launched in the UK.

As for the Echo, it was made available to all US citizens in 2015. An Amazon spokesperson said that the voice assistant named Alexa functions in the same manner as a Star Trek Computer.

The Echo also has concealed microphones in its structure. Echo works in synch with Uber too. Although the maker of this device has still not reached the goal of artificial intelligence that works in a human manner, it is getting there slowly and steadily.
