Ten fan favorite shows that will be making their return on TV just like the Roseanne

The news just got in that the 90’s hit ABC blue-collar family comedy Roseanne is in the works to return to the network as well as Netflix. The show has already been greenlit and major cast members are returning to reprise their roles including Roseanne Barr, John Goodman and Sara Gilbert, with Laurie Metcalf and others in the process of joining them.

With new shows and content reaching out to audience everyday, the revival and reboot of previous material is also in vogue and there are many other shows and movies that are making their way on to television. So here are the ten reboots or revivals that we are looking forward to in the year 2017,

1. Arrested Development

After a lot of effort, Netflix has finally managed to confirm that they will be making a fifth season of the hit sitcom Arrested Development. Nominated for and winning multiple awards, the show nodded out on its fourth season in 2013 on Netflix. The streaming service is hinting at a prologue-themed show which will feature younger actor portraying the characters before they were featured on the show. The show is expected to make it’s way on the streaming service in 2017.

2. Vampire Chronicles

Now that the Vampire Diaries is gone, there is a big Vampire loving hole in fans’ hearts but fret not because it is being rumored that a TV show reboot of the Anne Rice’s movie-slash-book series, Vampire Chronicles is in the works. The book has already been adapted into a movie in 1994 starring Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Christian Slater and Kirsten Dunst. The show may finally air in 2017.

3. Charmed

The supernatural drama about three sister witches may be making it’s return to TV. CW has been reportedly working on a reboot which will feature new character but we hope that the old ones will make an appearance too.

4. Will and Grace

Will and Grace returned to NBC for an election piece prompted the fans to demand a revival of the show and the cast and crew agreed. The cast including, Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayeswill be returning on NBC for a ten-episode revival in the 2017-18 season.

5. The Lost Boys

While we do not know where and when Vampire Chronicles might be airing, CW has already taken care of our vampire loving whims by announcing that the network is working on a reboot of the 1987 vampire based movie, The Lost Boys. It might be filling in for the Vampire Diaries in 2017-18 fall season.

6. Gossip Girl

It bowed out in 2012 but it gave us a little hope with a snag at the end that Gossip Girl was very much alive. The creators of the show, Gossip Girl have commented that they never really thought about returning but things are getting serious and a revival might soon be coming to CW.

7. Fame

Lifetime is also picking up a classic TV show in Fame and the network is working on a reboot. Nigel Lythgoe from So You Think You Can Dance is set to be executive producer, while Gossip Girl’s Josh Safran will write the pilot and produce.

8. Twin Peaks

It may not have been the most hit show during its two seasons run in the 90’s but over the years, it has achieved a cult-status among fans who were excited to find out that a revival of the show is set to premiere on Showtime on May 21st and will feature most of the old characters ten years later as well as the new.

9. Living Single

Queen Latifah has already hinted that she is working on bringing back her hit 90’s comedy back on TV. Will it be a revival or a reboot, only time will tell?

10. That's So Raven

Disney channel gave everyone a reason to rejoice when they announced a revival of the hit comedy show That’s So Raven. Two main ladies namely, Raven-Symoné and her TV BFF Anneliese Louise van der Pol will be returning for the show.
