Drop test reveals shocking information about Galaxy S8’s durability

Galaxy S8 is said to be Samsung’s most prized invention till now, and to be of such value to a global tech giant requires the product to be the most durable chip around the block.

Unfortunately, Samsung Galaxy S8 may have a drawback, even after its solid and strong metal frame. Test.de, a German website of product testers just revealed that Samsung Galaxy S8’s corners are quite weak, probably due to Infinity Display. People at test.de use a uniquely designed apparatus to test the durability of any smartphone.

This apparatus is a drum, which allow smartphones to freely fall from 80cm height again and again. The durability of the smartphone is determined by the number of falls it took the smartphone’s body to give up and snap from somewhere. Most of the famous smartphones can go 100 times over before showing some damage.

Galaxy S8, while its every other component surviving brilliantly in the test, failed to keep the display panel after the 50th fall. The Gorilla Glass 5 was shattered at the corner, where you could see the insides of the smartphone, though the touch worked completely ok. Still, you won’t be as happy carrying around a shattered glass-Galaxy S8, as you will be with a gorgeous unscratched device.

It would be a wise decision to protect your Galaxy S8 by a case and protectors.
