Comcast has started its all-new Wi-Fi service that is available now to its 10 million Xfinity internet customers at no extra charge

Comcast launched its Xfinity xFi, which is a novel and custom-made Wi-Fi experience. It lends access to a simple digital dashboard where consumers can implant their home Wi-Fi networks.

Customers can also locate their passwords, see what gadgets are connected, zap all issues that arise along the way, institute parental control and pause the device for extended periods of time.

This service will now be available to 10 million customers of Comcast. It also comes without any of the financial burdens normally attached to such services.

By the time 2020 arrives in its full glory, most Americans will have 50 Wi-Fi devices in their homes. xFi simplifies this experience by several degrees. This experience will offer many benefits to consumers. It will be easy to use.

Apps, the world wide web and voice remote facilities will work on it in a hunky dory manner. Names and passwords can be modified at the drop of a hat. Nicknames can be given to various functions for easy access.

Parental control and bedtime function will work in a smooth and surefire manner. Personal profiles can also be made on the platform. Finally, alerts can be sent to each other on the device.

According to CNet, the service can monitor a number of activities for the entire family under one roof. It resembles recent Wi-Fi systems such as the TP-Link Deco M5 and Amped Wireless Ally.

Comcast’s gateways used to be primitive in their setup. However, with xFi, this is no longer so. It has enhanced them in a manner unseen in erstwhile times. There is also a defense system against phishing and malware on the device.

According to Comcast, xFi simplifies the home network experience and provides many consumer benefits, including:

• Instant Setup: Simple, easy setup of Xfinity Internet service and home Wi-Fi

• Manage On Any Device: Take control with easy-to-use apps, the web, and X1 voice remote

• Find My Password: View and modify Wi-Fi names and passwords

• Name & Organize: See all connected devices and give nicknames for easy reference

• Easy-To-Use Tools: Set parental controls and bedtime schedules for any family member on the home Wi-Fi network

• Who’s Using What: Create personal profiles and assign devices to individual family members

• Text Alerts: Receive alerts when new devices join your home network

• Pause With A Tap: Instantly pause Wi-Fi access on your home network, by device or user

• Voice Control: Say “show me devices” into the X1 voice remote and see results on the biggest screen in the home

• Monitor Activity: See who’s most active on your home network and when

• Troubleshoot Wi-Fi: Identify devices that are not working properly and receive tips to fix them

• Cloud Management: See and control your home Wi-Fi network from anywhere

• Safe & Secure: First line of defense against phishing and malware

“The adoption and use of connected devices has grown dramatically and Comcast has created a solution that makes it easy to control and manage them,” said Eric Schaefer, Senior Vice President of Internet and Communications Services for Comcast Cable.

“xFi is a personalized home Wi-Fi experience that gives customers the fastest speeds, best coverage and ultimate control in their homes. And it’s a platform that will allow us to bring future innovations to our customers, address common pain points and vastly improve the way millions of people interact with their home Wi-Fi network.”

According to Engadget, the whole process has been made less cumbersome. Things are not as painful as they used to be.

Although there are a great many routers on the planet, they give terrible transmission. Apple and Google have lent the facility, but there is much that is lacking in the way of a perfect system and setup. With Xfinity xFi, all these hassles will be a thing of the past.

The apps on this system are such that they are smart enough to get the job done for consumers. In the future, millions of customers will have their wishes granted thanks to the Xfinity xFi.
