Nintendo PlayStation Finally Restored to Play CD Games
  • Nintendo PlayStation Prototype can Finally Play CD Games

CD games have finally come to the Nintendo PlayStation platform. This is a cause for celebration among gamers.

A prototype of the Nintendo PlayStation has its various features which include a CD drive. Yet the original problem that was faced was that you could not play games on it.

Repairing the thing did not get the drive working in an optimal manner either. The wait among gamers is over though. One of the professional tinkerers got the CD drive functional once again. Now games can be played on it, according to Engadget.

The thing that got the CD drive working was the replacement of some shady capacitors and a bit of rearrangement of some of the hardwired stuff. In fact, the concerned gentleman tinkerer was surprised by his own ingenuity in such matters.

The next hurdle is the search for games which are compatible with the system. Since no one wrote games for the system, it is quite a challenge that this tinkerer faces at present. The writing of new games will have to be undertaken.

According to The Verge, CD-ROM games will play smoothly on the CD drive. The operational PlayStation will be something to be on the lookout for since it will allow for hours of pleasurable gaming for the crowd of gamers who are a bunch of adrenaline junkies.

According to Slashgear, the restoration of this gaming console took some time but it was time well spent. PlayStation is a legendary gaming console which has always had a tagline which went along with its ads.

This went something like: “Never underestimate the power of PlayStation.” In the 90s, it was a case of two competitors on the scene. These were Sony and Nintendo.

While PlayStation was a device originally issued by Sony, now Nintendo is also jumping on the console-making bandwagon with its very own gadget.

Bringing the PlayStation back to life has been hard work and a labor of love. Yet it is a sweat session that has been worth it in terms of the fruits of the zealous effort.
