The leaked Amazon Echo Show aka Knight is going on sale on May 9 for $229.99.

The new Amazon Echo Show with screen is going to be unveiled today, May 9. Amazon will start taking pre-orders for the new $229.99 Amazon Echo Show with screen, according to a leaked document. An image of the Echo Knight has already leaked last week.

Update: The Echo Show is on sale now as pre-order. Amazon also offers the first Echo Show deal. Buy two and get a $100 discount.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday citing sources that the new Amazon Echo device will ship next month, but now AFTVNews trumps the WSJ report with the details.

The Echo Knight will be called Echo Show and retail for $229.99. The shipment of the new Echo Show will begin on June 28.

Amazon's new Echo device will support video calling on a 7-inch touch screen according to the WSJ report. Other features include voice over ip phone calls and displaying answers on screen. Users will be able to ask alexa to pull up products from the amazon online shop and answers from the net.

The original Echo device is on sale for $149.99 instead of $179.99 on amazon.com. Amazon is using the attention of the reveal of the new Echo Show to sell some of the current version.

Amazon's Echo dominates the market for voice-enabled speakers with a 70.6% share, digital marketing research firm eMarketer announced on Monday. Google Home has the second-highest market share at 23.8%. The market is about to get crowded, but Amazon's dominance will be hard to crack.

Microsoft partner Harman Kardon unveiled on Monday the Harman Invoke Cortana powered speaker. Apple is expected to enter the intelligent speaker device market with an high-end model as well this year.

The new Amazon Echo with Display will be priced above $200. The model name is not clear yet. It might be called Echo Com to reflect the video and voice communication features. Another option Echo Screen to refer to the built in screen.

Amazon just last month unveiled the new Echo Look device built-in camera.
