The all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and 630 mobile platforms have something about them that defy the imagination. Qualcomm Technologies seems to be pushing its 600 tier processors to include things that are normally found in high end devices.

Among some of the good stuff found on the platforms are: high quality connectivity, realistic photo-taking capability, the basics of advanced AI, a better battery with greater longevity, high speed performance and security that is tops.

The snapshots captured by the camera and the video clips recorded by it are the best. With both mobile platforms, the cameras capture high zoom, fast auto-focus, bright colors and there is no shutter lag.

According to Qualcomm, with the Snapdragon 660 and 630, customers can get:

The 14-bit Qualcomm Spectra 160 ISP supports cameras that capture up to 24 megapixels single ISP images with zero shutter lag. Spectra is also designed to deliver smooth zoom, lightning-fast autofocus, and true-to-life colors for vivid photos.

4K video capture and playback is integrated, so users can record high-definition videos at 30 frames per second, straight from the device.

The Snapdragon 630 supports up to 13MP + 13MP for dual cameras, while the 660 bumps that up to 16MP + 16MP. The 660 is also equipped with the Qualcomm Hexagon 680 DSP, which incorporates HVX.

As for the videos, they are high definition in their quality. The machine learning on these devices is such that it shows flexibility. Some of the features include: scene classification, facial recognition, object tracking, voice recognition and the deletion of background noise.

The multimedia experience has EcoPix display technology. There is also TruPalette technology on board the platforms. Finally, Aqstic audio codec exists as a salient feature.

An X12 LTE modem is part of the mix. Then there is RF Front End support. Bluetooth facility also exists. Last but not least biometric security is ensured so as to keep privacy and confidentiality a top priority.

According to Engadget, the chips in the mobile platforms allow for gaming to be a cinch as well. The upgrades that have been done to both mobile platforms allow for much improvement of the long list of features.

According to CNet, other phones will also feature these Qualcomm chips. They include Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo.
