Nintendo Switch at GameStop: New Switch Stock Coming Thursday

GameStop store restock the Nintendo Switch starting Thursday, May 11. Updated.

The Nintendo Switch shipments have slowed down since the launch of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe end of April. Switch inventory has only appeared in stores over the past days at Target and Walmart stores according to our daily Nintendo Switch Stock tracking snapshot. Now GameStop appears to restock the Nintendo Switch beginning Thursday, May 11.

Update 2:
Three new Nintendo Switch bundles from GameStop are on sale now online at The three new Switch bundles start at $479.99 and ship by May 19.

Update 1:
We have called a GameStop store in Berks County, Pennsylvania, this morning and the store confirmed that they will receive new Nintendo Switch inventory this week. The store could not say if the consoles will arrive on Thursday, but it will be still this week. The store also confirmed that GameStop will only sell the new stock of Switch consoles as part of a bundles.

A GameStop store told a shopper that the store will restock the Switch starting Thursday morning. The Switch will only be sold as part of a bundle. GameStop has sold Nintendo Switch bundles before. Most people hate them, but it is a clever way for GameStop to keep scalpers away and make extra money.

Another sign that new Nintendo Switch bundles will be available at GameStop is the removal of the most recent bundles GameStop sold online. As of today the GameStop online shop only lists the $299.99 Nintendo Switch consoles. Yesterday the bundles with May 5 delivery were still listed.

GameStop stores are supposed to receive new Switch consoles via UPS around 10am local time.

The Nintendo Switch reseller markups keep steady and range today between $85 to $100 for the Nintendo Switch with Gray Joy-Con and $99 to $130 for the Nintendo Switch with Neon Joy-Con on The Nintendo Switch with Neon Joy-Con is more rare than the console with Gray controllers, resulting in considerable higher market value.

To find Nintendo Switch in stock online, shoppers can use our new The Tracker app, available as free download for iOS and Android. The app offers a set and forget experience. Users receive a notification once the Switch is in stock at a major online retailer.

Nintendo is ramping up the production for the Nintendo Switch, but has not disclosed what the current production capacity per month is. The only number the company made official is the production volume over the next 12 months. 10 million Switch consoles are planned to enter retail channels until end of April 2018. The demand for the Nintendo Switch will spike during the Holiday Shopping season 2017. Nintendo will set aside a large part of the Switch production during the next months for November and December. This stock piling will keep the Nintendo Switch in short supply during the next 5 months.

As Nintendo coordinated new Switch console shipment with the launch of Mario Kart 8, we expect the company to do the same for the next major Switch game launches. This means the next big wave of new Switch consoles comes in mid-June for the release of ARMS.

There are also several new accessories coming on the market from Nintendo in the next weeks. See the full list of new Nintendo Switch accessories.
