A screenshot from the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Origins has been leaked online and it has been confirmed to be original and Assassin’s Creed enthusiasts are excited

Assassin’s Creed is a gaming franchise that is known and loved around the world. The game by Ubisoft has been on a hiatus for a whole year in 2016. They announced that they would be bringing back the game in a new format and story.

This time going back to the original Assassin’s which would include a male and female. The Assassin’s will reportedly embark on their missions in Ancient Egypt. The new series is called Assassin’s Creed Origins.

There has been contemplation about when the game will be released. Gamers got a bit of a surprise as a screenshot from the game appeared on Reddit. User named "shoutouttoashraf" posted the image.

They deleted the account. It is shout out to the Ubisoft staffer Ashraf Ismail who worked on Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag. Separate sources including Eurogamer have since declared that the image is authentic.

The image itself is a very satisfying one. The Assassin in seen riding a ship. The graphics are somewhat hazy but the water in the image looks pretty cool.

The ship part confirms the reports that there would be sea travelling and naval combat in the game. The Assassin is wearing a dark combat suit. With their back to the gamer, we can see them wielding a bow and arrow. They are also carrying a shield.

The text in the image reads, ‘Assassinate the Crocodile’ and ‘Follow Shadya to Khenut's villa’. While we can only assume that Crocodile is a codename. It gives away nothing about the plot of the game.

The other instruction is a big giveaway to place the game in Egypt. Khenut was a Queen of Egypt and the wife of King Unas. She lived during the time of the Fifth dynasty of Egypt. So gamers will be going back to Fifth Dynasty Egypt. The anticipation has grown among fans as E3 gaming expo looms closer.
