Nintendo Switch Availability Completely Changed Again at GameStop

Black Friday Deals Tracker is Live

The video game retailer GameStop is the only online store selling the Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch is hard to find online and in stores. GameStop has been a stable source for the Nintendo Switch consoles over the past days. The only downside is that GameStop only offers the Switch console as part of bundles. Over night GameStop has completely shaken up its Nintendo Switch bundle offering.

The three bundles offered last week are gone, replaced by three new new Switch bundles. Two of them feature the more popular Switch with Neon Joy-Con.

The Nintendo Switch Neon Joy-Con Digital Bundle selling for $499.99 contains the Nintendo Switch Console with Neon Red and Blue Joy-Con, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Digital Game), SanDisk 64GB microSD card with adapter, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Digital Game), Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass (Digital Download Code), and Has Been Heroes (Digital Game).

The Nintendo Switch Gray Joy-Con Bundle selling for $484.99 includes the Nintendo Switch Console with Gray Joy-Con, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Physical Game), Has-Been Heroes (Digital Game), Switch Racing Wheel Accessory 2-Pack, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, and Snipperclips (Digital Game).

The Nintendo Switch Neon Joy-Con Physical Bundle on sale for $499.99 includes the Nintendo Switch Console with Neon Red and Blue Joy-Con, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Physical Game), SanDisk 64GB microSD card with adapter, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Physical Game), Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass (Digital Download Code), and Has Been Heroes (Physical Game).

The new Nintendo Switch bundles at GameStop.com are more attractive than the previous three, but have a release date of May 26. The bundles available last week shipped within 24 hours.

Shoppers can track the availability of the three new Nintendo Switch bundles at GameStop with the The Tracker. Check the availability of the Nintendo Switch Neon Joy-Con Digital Bundle, Nintendo Switch Gray Joy-Con Bundle and Nintendo Switch Neon Joy-Con Physical Bundle.

As in the past, GameStop states that the bundled items are not eligible for individual return. The Nintendo Switch reseller markups keep steady and range today between $85 to $100 for the Nintendo Switch with Gray Joy-Con and $99 to $130 for the Nintendo Switch with Neon Joy-Con on amazon.com. Getting a bundle from an official store makes sense as long as customers wanted to by the bundle games anyway.

Besides GameStop the only known online shop that sells the Nintendo Switch online is Walmart. The giant retailer is offering the Switch in flash sales on Fridays at 5pm ET. Download our new online stock tracker app The Tracker to get notified about new Nintendo Switch inventory.

Nintendo is ramping up the production for the Nintendo Switch, but has not disclosed what the current production capacity per month is. The only number the company made official is the production volume over the next 12 months. 10 million Switch consoles are planned to enter retail channels until end of April 2018. The demand for the Nintendo Switch will spike during the Holiday Shopping season 2017. Nintendo will set aside a large part of the Switch production during the next months for November and December. This stock piling will keep the Nintendo Switch in short supply during the next 5 months.

As Nintendo coordinated new Switch console shipment with the launch of Mario Kart 8, we expect the company to do the same for the next major Switch game launches. This means the next big wave of new Switch consoles comes in mid-June for the release of ARMS.

There are also several new accessories coming on the market from Nintendo in the next weeks. See the full list of new Nintendo Switch accessories.
