Netflix announces that it is Blocking its Services on Rooted and Unlocked Gadgets

Netflix has begun its incompatibility drive on Play Store for rooted and unlocked Android gadgets. Yet surprisingly the application continued to function in a smooth manner. This led many to consider the whole thing as nothing but a malfunction which in fact it was not.

Since Netflix relies on Google Widevine DRM, which divides devices into three security levels, the Android rooted and unlocked gadgets were simply incompatible with the whole thing.

Therefore, if you have a blocked device, the smart strategy would be for you to track the Pushbullet channel for Netflix on APKMirror, according to Android Police. This way you will receive updates besides those on the Play Store.

According to Engadget, Netflix is not available for your Android phone whether you like it or not. The whole drive is is due to the ever-present danger of piracy.

Netflix has gone on to confirm this fact and it has been a big disappointment for many people who enjoyed Netflix content on their Android devices. Some problems have cropped up due to this sudden about-face by Netflix.

Viewers who were hooked on some of the entertaining stuff by Netflix will be facing withdrawal symptoms. Yet the die-hard fans will get their daily dose of Netflix entertainment whether it is through proper channel or not.
