Out of all the big gaming names you have heard in the last few years, Sega probably wasn't one of them. It has been a relatively quiet time for them as they allowed Nintendo, Xbox, Playstation, and even mobile gaming to take their spot. Now they are posing a comeback, and the hope is that Creative Assembly's fantasy strategy endeavor Total War: Warhammer will be the game that takes them to the next level.

According to the company's Road to 2020 business forecast, which they use to help sell deals and with stock postings. They also suggest that they will revive "major IPs" sometimes soon, hopefully, to face some of the same success that Nintendo found with Pokemon. A lot of the content is quite dense and filled with sales and figures, but the information is great for people who are looking to break into the industry.

All of this information was found by PC Gamer in the plans. They looked under the subsection called "Major Issue 'Create titles that will become global hits'" Sega has said that it wants to Reinforce various IP measures including reutilization of dormant IPs, in addition to existing IPs".

The entire report is somewhat lengthy, but there are some great details in there about what Sega plans to do, including how they want to increase sales and become the competitor they once were.

The question now remains: what is Sega going to bring back that has been gone for so long? Of course, there are predictions and assumptions rife on the internet, but the question is still quite complex when you think about the deep pockets Sega has.
