The Panasonic LUMIX DC-ZS70 ships this summer.

Panasonic announced the Panasonic LUMIX DC-ZS70 point-and-shoot camera with 24mm Ultra-Wide-Angle 30x Optical Zoom last month. The $449.99 Panasonic DC-ZS70 is available for pre-order and will ship in June or July.

The new 20.3-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor and Venus Engine image processor allows users to capture high-quality images even for high-sensitivity recording in dimly lit environments.

The ZS70 is capable of recording smooth, high-resolution QFHD 4K videos in 3840 x 2160 at 30p (60Hz) in MP4. Taking advantage of 4K technology, users can capture fleeting photo opportunities at 30 fps in 8-megapixel equivalent resolution as a 4K photo. Other features of the DC-ZS70 include 3-inch touchscreen display, an electronic viewfinder, WiFi, NFC, 4K selfie-mode and GPS.

"With this travel zoom camera you travel lightly. The Panasonic Lumix TZ90 camera offers a huge zoom range and numerous photo features, including 4K photo, 4K burst and Post Focus. The 3.0-inch touchscreen display is a pleasure to work with. In combination with the 4K video features, the TZ90 is also an ideal vlog camera, according to LetsGoDigital.

"The picture quality is sufficient, although not very special. Certainly, when lighting conditions are not optimal, noise soon occurs. The auto focus system with tracking and 5-axis image stabilization provide good work," the review continues. See impressive sample photos taken with the DC-ZS70 on LetsGoDigital.

The ZS70 will be available in both black and silver versions. The Panasonic DC-ZS70K and the DC-ZS70S are both available for purchase on for $447.99.
