New Nintendo Switch Accessories Unveiled

Nintendo introduced new accessories for the Nintendo Switch.

Just in time for today Nintendo Direct webcast, Nintendo announced new accessories for the Nintendo Switch. Several of the new Switch accessories are themed for the new games ARMS and Splatoon 2, which will be the main topics in the May 17 Nintendo Direct.

The selection of new accessories include an all-in-box in Splatoon design. Switch owners can put the complete Switch with accessories and games in this lunch box style case. New Switch pouches come in Arms Splatoon, Zelda and Mario Kart designs.

Also new is a Privacy filter for the Switch screen. These screen allows gamers to play in privacy, blocking prying eyes from the side. Last but not least, Nintendo introduced a new book style cover that can be converted into a stand for the Switch.

The new Nintendo Switch accessories go on sale in July. So far Nintendo only announced these new items in Japan. Amazon Japan has listed all accessories for pre-order. The Japanese Amazon shop is shipping to the US and even has an English language option on its Otaku section.

The big upcoming Switch games are Arms on June 16 and Splatoon 2 on July 21. Amazon offers pre-order discounts on both of the titles for Prime members to the tune of 20%.

This Friday the Nintendo Dock Set will ship and several more announced Nintendo Switch accessories go on sale in June in the United States.

The Nintendo Switch console continues to be a hard find, but there are options to find one in stock. ToysRUs restocks the Nintendo Switch on Friday in stores and there are four Nintendo Switch bundles on sale online.
