Apple is planning on updating its MacBook series of laptops at the WWDC. This will take some effort on its part.

As everybody knows the MacBook Air was replaced by the MacBook Pro. Yet Apple doesn’t want to scrap the former for the sake of the latter in an abrupt manner. Apple wants to refresh its series of MacBook laptops at the WWDC which is due to take place in June of this year.

As is written in Bloomberg report, some inner changes are in store for the laptops. The MacBook Pro is to have a Kaby Lake Intel processor installed inside it. As for the 12 inch MacBook, it too will get a faster chip.

The MacBook Air’s long term prospects remain uncertain. Apple is procrastinating its renovation. Apple’s Senior Vice President gave a hint to Air users that they ought to replace their laptop with the new Pro.

Apple is definitely rethinking some of its products. Its iPad mini is being scrapped though. That is for certain. The MacBook Pro may get an ARM chip in its internal makeup.

As for the Air, it lacks a USB-C and even a Retina display. Since four years, the high tech firm has not launched novel stuff at the WWDC. This year it may be a different scenario though.

According to AppleInsider, one of the additions to Apple’s repertoire was a $329 budget iPad earlier this year. Some of the software that will feature at the WWDC includes in its ranks novel types of macOS, iOS, tvOS and watchOS. Several things need updating which Apple will see to this time around.

A report by CNBC has it that it has been a long time since Apple made any necessary changes to its laptops or other products. Although the company makes its main profits from its iPhones, it is also paying attention to its laptop lineup since they too need a healthy dose of change.
