Original Nintendo NES Classic Controller In Stock at Amazon at Regular Price

The ultra hard to find Nintendo NES Classic Edition controller surfaces on Amazon in Germany.

Weeks after Nintendo discontinued NES Classic Edition the original NES Classic controller surfaces. At some points the original NES controller auctioned off at prices that matched the console. For a while the controller was available for around $50 to $60. Now the German Amazon shop offers the original EU version of the Nintendo NES Classic controller for 12,99 Euro.

The offer is direct from Amazon and not a reseller. This is a great opportunity for NES collectors or NES owners to complete their NES Classic with a second original controller. The difference between the EU version and the US version of the NES controller is only the package design.

Officially the NES Classic Edition is history as of end of April, according to a Nintendo statement. A low numbers of stores still received inventory in early May.

We have seen Walmart stores and Target stores and even a few GameStop stores receiving new NES Classic shipments in the first days of May. There are still one or two stores reported to have a new NES in stock on iStockNow. It is like winning the lottery at this point to be that lucky to live near a Walmart that received one NES unit.

Now the only plausible way to buy a NES Classic console is from a reseller on eBay or Amazon. Reseller prices for the NES Classic have dropped despite the end of the NES. The lowest priced Nintendo NES Classic console sells for $233 plus shipping on amazon.com

The reseller prices have been over $300 early April, right after the announcement that Nintendo stops making the NES Classic. Find all NES Classic offers and auctions on ebay.com as well as all marketplace offers on amazon.com. NES Classic Edition offers on ebay.com can be found at around $200. Modded NES Classic for over $300. eBay has 2,170 NES Classic offers listed.

The $59.99 Nintendo NES Classic Edition console launched on November 11 in stores and online. The supply was extremely constraint in stores and especially online. On April 13, Nintendo announced to stop production of the NES Classic Edition. Nintendo said that the last shipments of the NES Classic arrive through April. We keep spotting though the $59.99 NES Classic Edition in May.

The palm-sized NES console, retailing for $59.99 list price, features the classic Nintendo NES controller many geeks have grown up with. The retro console comes pre-installed with 30 classic NES games including Super Mario Bros., Pac-Man, Metroid, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda and Kirby's Adventures. The NES Classic Edition system is a miniaturized version of the groundbreaking NES, originally released in 1985.

The ability to mod the NES Classic and install an unlimited number of games has renewed the hype around the retro console. The latest hack enables the NES Classic to store 2,500 games.
