Nintendo Spotlight E3 2017: Fans Hope for Suprises

Nintendo fans are already excited about the Nintendo presentation at the E3 2017.

The Nintendo event at the E3 2017 is going to draw a lot of attention. Nintendo begins live streaming at 9am PT on June 13 with the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 video presentation. Nintendo plans to unveil latest on 2017’s hottest Nintendo Switch games, including Super Mario Odyssey.

Arms, Splatoon 2, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Super Mario Odyssey are set to get time during Nintendo's E3 2017 presentation. Which other 2017 Nintendo Switch game will be presented is not known. Nintendo fans wish to see a Super Smash Brothers game, Pokemon Mario Maker, Pikmin, Animal Crossing and more for the Nintendo Switch at the E3. Some gamers hope for the reveal of a virtual console for the Nintendo Switch.

There is a lively reddit thread right now about Nintendo's E3 presentation that originally started about the discussion on the length of this year's E3 broadcast.

Nintendo allows now to create a calendar entry for the Nintendo E3 2017 event on the Nintendo E3 site. The Nintendo E3 2017 event will like be around 45 minutes long, like past E3 presentations.

The supply constraints of the Nintendo Switch have eased up a bit in past days. The new GameStop Nintendo Switch bundles selling for under $400 are a good indicator for the softened demand. The bundles contain a physical blockbuster game and accessories in addition to the Switch console.

Nintendo is ramping up the production for the Nintendo Switch, but has not disclosed what the current production capacity per month is. The only number the company made official is the production volume over the next 12 months. 10 million Switch consoles are planned to enter retail channels until end of April 2018. The demand for the Nintendo Switch will spike during the Holiday Shopping season 2017. Nintendo will set aside a large part of the Switch production during the next months for November and December. This stock piling will keep the Nintendo Switch in short supply during the next 5 months.

As Nintendo coordinated new Switch console shipment with the launch of Mario Kart 8, we expect the company to do the same for the next major Switch game launches. The big upcoming Switch games are Arms on June 16 and Splatoon 2 on July 21. Amazon offers pre-order discounts on both of the titles for Prime members to the tune of 20%.

There are also several new accessories coming on the market from Nintendo in the next weeks. See the full list of new Nintendo Switch accessories.
