Sony and SIE Bend Studio SET TO BRING Days Gone in a big way to the E3 2017

At the E3 2016, Sony SIE Bend Studio gave the gamers a glimpse of the new game that they were developing to bring to the gamers. Aptly named, Days Gone, the game was set in a post-apocalyptic world riddled with zombie-like creatures.

A trailer and a gameplay demo were a part of the showcase for Days Gone. In the trailer, we meet the main game character Deacon St. James who is an assassin in the post-apocalyptic world. In a voice-over by the renowned game voicing veteran, Sam Witwer, we get to know a little about the premise of the game.

According to the trailer and the game play demo, Deacon remembers all the things that have changed the world. He mentions planes falling, trains and turbines stopping, razor wires being put up and most importantly, his girlfriend or wife when they used to ride together.

Now Deacon is haunted by his past and has become an assassin. He kills because he wants to. He sometimes overdoes it where his contemporaries hold him back unless he loses himself completely.

He says that he is on a broken road. We can agree that the game premise sounds interesting and it would be cool to see what the game is actually like? After E3 2016, there wasn’t much mentioned about the game.

However, as E3 2017 looms in closer, Days Gone is set to make a big appearance at the event. In a recent interview with Twitch, Witwer said that the game will be revealed in a ‘big way’.

The game is being developed/powered by Unreal Engine 4. Creative director on the project is John Garvin and Jeff Ross is the writer as well as the game director. Gamers are anticipating an August release date for the game.
