DJI Launches $499 Spark, its Smallest Camera Drone for Your Palm
  • The Company’s First Mini Drone Lets You Capture Special Moments From The Air Just By Moving Your Hands

A Spark camera drone by the China's DJI company, that flies from your plam, costs merely $500 and is both mini-sized and economical to boot.

It is as small as a can of soda. The trend towards the miniaturization of drones in the industry has been going on since the past couple of years. This is all the better to make these drones more rapid in their penetration into nooks and crannies as well as making them a cinch to operate.

This day in time, DJI unveiled its latest drone called the Spark. Its weight is merely a pound and like its predecessor the Mavic Pro, this baby contains a boatload of features.

Besides being a form-fitting item, this drone comes at a very reasonable rate. For a mere $499, it could be yours. While most drones out there in the market cost at least $1000 each, this one is different.

Other drones which also don’t cost much include Parrot, Yuneec and Zero Tech. Among some of the key features of this drone are Active Track and TapFly. Such features were there in the Phantom 4 drone by DJI as well.

Either gestures can control this drone or via a smartphone, it could be manipulated from a distance of 109 yards. You can further charge this drone in two ways both of which are convenient.

DJI gives more accessories along with this drone for an extra $200. The camera on this drone can capture some very lucid pictures. The sensors it possesses allow it to navigate around various obstacles and hindrances.

The drone is to be found in five colors. By the time the middle of June arrives in its sweltering heat, this drone will be ready for shipments.

This drone can literally be launched from the palm of your hand. Also like mentioned earlier, it requires hand gestures to operate it. While it is small, it can be a crafty and clever piece of technology.

Size is not everything and this little one sure packs a lot in a small amount of space. You can send this baby hovering into the air and have it snap a selfie of your face.

Then you can have it alight back on your hand. Controlling a drone with hand gestures is something which has just come up as a nascent technology. It is an ultra-cool feature of this drone.

“Controlling a camera drone with hand movements alone is a major step towards making aerial technology an intuitive part of everyone’s daily life, from work and adventure to moments with friends and family,” said Paul Pan, Senior Product Manager at DJI.

“Spark’s revolutionary new interface lets you effortlessly extend your point of view to the air, making it easier than ever to capture and share the world from new perspectives.”

This is the flying camera that is meant for everyone. It is smart, compact and can flit about from here to there like a small bird. A serious pursuit for hobbyists, this drone will make many an enthusiast’s day when he or she purchases it this year. It will make for hours of fun and excitement for anyone who wants to explore the environment autonomously.
