Graco Recalls 25494 Car Seats

Graco is Taking Back More Than 25,000 My Ride 65 Convertible Child Car Seats

Over 25,000 car seats are being ordered back from the stores by the company known as Graco. The reason given is that these car seats may not be able to fully protect children in the emergency situation of a car accident.

NHTSA announced recently that the webbed stuffing in the Graco My Ride 65 car seat just did not meet the stringent standards of the authorities. Kids who were not properly secured in the seats were prone to injuries in the case of a mishap such as a car crash.

The Graco seats were manufactured between the months of May and August three years ago. Graco is recalling those My Ride 65 convertible car seats that were manufactured between May 16, 2014 through August 1, 2014 and sold in the U.S. The prices of recalled models lie between $119.00 - $199.00.

The authorities warned that in case of a shock to the vehicle the webbing in the seats may rupture leading to the seated child sustaining severe bruises and bumps. Till a replacement arrives, the highly-respected clientele of Graco may use the convertible car seats as a substitute.

Over eight different models of children’s car seats were recalled by Graco. Graco will offer a replacement harness to customers without any additional costs. Safety is the #1 priority at Graco and so this step is being taken for the sake of satisfying the valued clientele.
