Apple reportedly fired iPhone X engineer for letting daughter film his iPhone X before release

Brooke Amelia Peterson is a relatively unpopular YouTube vlogger, of whom nobody even knew about. All that was going to change when she decided to post her vlog that included her visit to the new Apple Campus earlier this week.

The vlogger wasn’t aware of the strict ‘no-filming of unreleased products’ policy at the campus. This rule is a very strict one and is implemented in a lot of different workplaces, so even if the daughter knew about it, she must have thought that her filming iPhone X was an innocent thing.

Peterson’s vlog went viral on YouTube and news websites didn’t take long before catching the wind of it, and posting it on their websites. Peterson published another video recently in which she told that Apple fired her dad for her video that she published earlier this week.

The YouTuber explained that it was an innocent thing and that she didn’t do it for any likes or popularity. She told that Apple contacted her to take the video down, which she did, according to her.

But of course, screen recording is no surprise in today’s world, her video was recorded and posted by a dozen other video channels. The video showed her dad using the Apple Pay application to scan the QR code on a payment slip to pay for the lunch.

Then the YouTuber showed a few of the most basic navigational features of the iPhone X. She also opened the Calendar, Notes, and the Camera application on the smartphone and filmed it.
