Grand Theft Auto V is the Best-Selling Video Game Ever in the US

GTA V beats Wii Sports and becomes the Highest Grossing Video Game Ever in the USA.

The second quarter results released by Take-Two Interactive show Grand Theft Auto V to have sold more than 85 million units. This easily makes it the all-round best-selling video game across the board in the USA. The phenomenal number of units sold has Steam members accounting for 10% of the total.

This may be a large number but it is still a relatively thin slice of the total pie. GTA V has a price tag of $60. The users stood at 55,000. GTA Online is the real impetus behind the astronomical sales of this game.

This game has in fact become a worldwide phenomenon. The paraphernalia attached with the game only go on to increase its popularity. GTA V is something gamers are so passionate about that the units sold have surpassed Wii Sports.

Wii Sports sold only 82.3 million units. Some of the gamers playing these games get so caught up in handling their joy sticks that they get a serious case of tendonitis.

As for GTA Online, it has been in existence since the past half a decade or so. GTA V has made it to the topmost spot in the majority of the games comparison lists.

It is definitely a video game worth playing since its sequences and graphics are so exciting and stimulating. The only competition it has is coming from the direction of Red Dead Redemption 2.

That too is not written in stone since GTA V could progress even further with the passage of time leaving other games way behind it in the popularity stakes.
