Toyota will Only Release Autonomous Driving Functions When They are Safe

Toyota will Not Feature Self-Driving Technology until its Security has been Verified

Toyota Motors does not want to endanger the life and limb of the users of its cars. So it is safeguarding the reputation of its brand which is world-famous. Many features especially self-driving and autonomous ones will not be released until everything has been tested and assured regarding safety and durability.

AI technology still has a long way to go before it is applicable in real life. The integration of this novel form of technology into everyday existence has to be carefully and scrupulously handled.

The element of risk must be minimized. Toyota wants to make sure that everything is under control, according to AutoCar. That is before the technology is functional on the roads of America not to mention the rest of the world.

Were any mishaps to occur, it would not only tarnish the image of Toyota but also be a great tragedy since human life is worth much more than mere profits.

Despite the chances of cars without steering wheels being safe, the one in a million glitch in this technology may negate all the rest of the successful attempts.

Since life is precious and not something to be thrown on the road, Toyota wants to be doubly and triply on the guard lest it end up endangering the lives of the drivers of its vehicles.
