Sony renovates the PlayStation app for Android and iOS with a fresh look and a better operating system

Sony has renovated the PlayStation app. The app can be easily downloaded on your android or iOS phone via App Store on iOS 9.0 or later and through Google Play on Android 4.1. The app has been updated, as announced by Sony.

The updated app comes with a new app design. It allows you to stay connected with family, friends and the rest of the PlayStation gaming world. The app offers intuitive and smoother experience which makes your navigation more accessible.

What to Notice?
When you download or update the app, you will notice some features quickly. There are new tabs at the bottom of the screen. They have features like What’s New, Friends, and Profile. Switching between tabs is easier.

You can see who’s online, and what they are playing. It helps you keep up with the latest activities and posts from friends and the PlayStation community.

PlayStation Store is more accessible now. There is a new blue PlayStation button at the bottom. It gives the user access to voucher code redemption, along with other popular apps and features, including Events, Trophies, PlayStation Plus, with list of new and upcoming PlayStation 4 games.

Live from PlayStation feature is not available on PS App after the update. Sony also announced that they will release a brand new PS4 Second Screen mobile app. This app allows the user to navigate their PS4's menu, use the on-screen keyboard and view extra content in compatible games.
