Black Friday Deals Tracker is Live

Black Friday might be a nightmare for retail workers, but it’s easily one of the best times of the year to buy a boat.

The holidays are fast approaching. We’ve already survived Halloween, and next comes Thanksgiving —along with its infamous companion, Black Friday. This crazed shopping day is known for amazing deals, lines around the block for those amazing deals and people getting into fist fights for $5 kitchen appliances.

It’s also one of the best times of the year to buy a boat, though. If you were thinking of buying a boat this year, why should you wait until Black Friday to make that purchase?

It’s the End of the Season

In most places, the holiday season marks the end of the boating season. Many retailers are looking to offload some of their summer inventory to make room for next year’s models, so it becomes easier to find great deals for boats that you might not have otherwise been able to afford during the busy boating season.

If you live in an area that’s perpetually warm, like the Gulf Coast or out toward California, there is no off-season, but you’ll still find dealerships trying to offload last year’s inventory to make room for new models.

If you’re in a cold area, this is still a great time to buy a boat even if you don’t get to use it until spring. The off-season is a great time to winterize your boat and to make any customizations you want before the boating season starts again.

Boat Show Season Is Just Beginning

Winter marks the beginning of boat show season — you’ll find shows happening every weekend all over the country. Manufacturers are trying to show off their new models for the coming year, and you can often find top-of-the-line boats for a fraction of their normal sale price.

Boat shows are all about good marketing and good word of mouth, so if these manufacturers can make a deal that will bring more customers their way in the long run, it’s totally worth it for them.

Accessory Sales

Black Friday isn’t just the best time to buy a boat — it’s also the best time to stock up on accessories and toys for that new boat.

Electronics aren’t the only thing that goes on sale for Black Friday. Boat shops are more than happy to offer you some stellar deals on accessories, tools, toys, engines and everything in between if that’s what it takes to get you in the door.

Fewer Shoppers

Places like Best Buy and Walmart are always inundated with people on Black Friday. People will line up for hours — or days — beforehand looking for a good deal on the latest toy or electronic gadget.

Not nearly as many people head to boat stores on this shopping holiday, which is good for you! You can stock up on your favorite accessories without worrying about being trampled at the door or having to fight for an anchor.

Black Friday might be a nightmare for retail workers, but it’s easily one of the best times of the year to buy a boat. Take advantage of all those dealerships trying to get rid of the remainder of their inventory to make room for the new models and pick up a new boat this Black Friday.
