The nominations for the 2017 Game Awards have been announced with voting open on gaming related forums. The 2017 Game Awards nominees include ‘PUBG,’ ‘Zelda: Breath Of The Wild,’ ‘Super Mario Odyssey’ and ‘Persona 5’. However, Mario Games and Horizon Zero Dawn dominate The Game Awards nominations.

The Game Awards, the biggest and the most prestigious awards in the world of gaming are coming. The 2017 Game Awards announcement blew up all gaming forums. The 2017 Annual Game Awards will be streamed across all gaming forums and sites on December 7th.

While all details of the show have been teased, including an orchestra and a show to remember; there is some time yet to get there. In the meanwhile, gamers will be concentrating on the nomination that have been announced for the Game Awards.

Selected by 51 media forums from around the world, the Game Awards nominees include Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Art Direction, Best Score, Best Performance and Games for Impact.

The nominations will be voted for by selected juries. There are categories that are reserved for fan votes. Best Esports Player, Best Esports Team, and Most Anticipated Game will be open for fan votes.

The gamers and games fans will be voting on awards' site or through Google, Twitter or Facebook Messenger. There have been two new additions to the categories of nominations.

The first is the ‘The Student Game Award’ which had highlights of creations by high school and college-level developers. Best Ongoing Game has also been introduced. It will recognize gaming's turn to embrace evolving games-as-a-service.

The inaugural star-studded jury has esteemed members including EA Motive's Kim Swift (Portal), Bethesda's Todd Howard, Respawn's Vince Zampella (Titanfall), Supercell's IlkkaPaananen (Clash of Clans) and Hideo Kojima. (Naturally).

Nintendo has emerged with most nomination, 23 with Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild making it into the Best Game of the Year category. Following Nintendo is Sony Interactive with 15 nominations and Activision coming third with 7 nominations.
