Hyundai Motor America Promises to Launch Eight New or Re-engineered Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUVs) in the United States within the Next Three Years.

Hyundai Motor America made an announcement today. It wants to make eight new crossover utility vehicles (CUVs) on American soil by the time the year 2020 comes along.

The declaration was aired at a press conference. The Kona small CUV was launched in March. The rest of the vehicles will consist of models ranging from the A-segment size class to the eight passenger midsize class.

Among other things that Hyundai will feature may be included: a gas engine, a diesel engine, a hydrogen fuel cell and battery electric technologies in the cars.

In a matter of three years, Hyundai will have a CUV powertrain range of vehicles that will be the envy of many an automaker company. The vice president of the company assured reporters regarding this fact.

Over 13,000 engineers are currently busy tinkering away on the details of these CUVs. The choices among these will be diverse. These vehicles will debut at a number of auto shows spread out between Detroit, New York and Los Angeles.

They will be a mark of Hyundai’s singular drive to make its consumers’ lives better via a smoother driving experience. As for the Kona, it is merely a beginning of this drive which will expand as time moves on.
