Pokemon GO Travel and Global Catch Event Offers Farfetch'd for 3 Billion Catches in a Week
  • Travel and Global Catch Challenge Announced by Pokémon Go with a Huge Target

Pokémon Go announced a worldwide catch event with a challenge of 3 billion Pokémons to catch in a week

Gamers and enthusiasts were looking forward to the holiday season for various events. Among the companies to arrange events, Niantic just announced a mammoth of an event. A week-long Pokémon Go event which will engage Pokémon Go players from around the world to catch a stellar 3 billion Pokémon.

In a video, a number of social media gamers and game enthusiasts are featured. Announcing the event in various languages. The event will begin in Japan which is the home of the Pokémon.

They are urging the players to catch as many Pokémon as they can to reach the goals which will in turn yield different prizes for the event.

The stated targets are set at, 500M catches will yield 2x XP and 6 hours lures, 1.5B catches will yield 2x XP and 6 hours lures and 2x Stardust, and 3B catches will 2x XP and 6 hours lures and 2x Stardust.

The 3 billion catch seems like an impossible task. Given that there are about 750 million users who installed Pokémon Go when it was released. Many have not been active players since long ago.

Furthermore, even if all the players would be playing, 3 billion Pokémon will be a stretch, especially in a week. Many believe that the holidays will allow the event to be a success as many people won’t have much else to do and they will be able to fully participate in the event.

The grand prize for the Pokemon GO Travel and Global Catch event has been announced as well. A 48 hours release of Farfetch’d and a localized release of Kangaskhan in Asia. It doesn’t seem like a lot of motivation for a lot of players.
