  • Budweiser Plans on Brewing Beer on Mars

Budweiser is all set to launch first Beer on Mars next month. Barley will be the first step in research on future of beer into space.

When the head of Budweiser Beer announced earlier this year that he wanted his company to be the first brand to brew beer on Mars, many thought he was exaggerating. Yet it seems the man is dead serious. His company is not one to back out from a challenge.

This week once more, he reiterated his plan on carrying out this herculean task. For one thing, barley seeds will be sent to the Space Station in order to see how the constituents of beer fare in an environment of zero gravity.

Budweiser knows that the future consists of cities that will be built on the surface of Mars. The human residents of these metropolises may want to chug-a-lug a beer can or two along the way.

The brand is partnering with one of the sponsors of the ISS in order to get this whole thing off the ground. As for the city on Mars, it will be spearheaded by CEO Elon Musk and some big shots in Dubai.

Two barley based experiments will be sent off to the ISS by Budweiser. These barley seeds will stay in the ISS for 60 days before returning to earth for analytical breakdown.

By malting barley, high quality malt brew is yielded. This is employed in Budweiser’s cans of potent stuff. The work done on the barley seeds aboard the ISS will show how they can be utilized in a zero gravity environment.

Barley seeds are one of the four main ingredients in Budweiser beer. The experiments which will take place will show how beer may be made with efficiency and ease on the surface of Mars.

Another hindrance would be getting water on Mars since it too is one of the most important ingredients in ordinary beer.
