Honda recalls 800,000 Odyssey Minivans and Halts Sales of these Vehicles

Honda has recalled over 800,000 of its Odyssey minivans that date back over the period spanning the past seven days. The issue was the second row outboard seats which could be segregated or joined together. They didn’t latch correctly in the minivans.

Honda has also stopped sales of these minivans for the sake of public safety. The NHTSA in conjunction with Honda have stated that the seats could get pushed forward when the brakes are applied.

This could result in an accident for the occupants of the minivans. Therefore they have been recalled and their sales have been put off indefinitely.
Already there have been 46 injuries related with this fault.

The Honda Company does not have a solution to this problem right now. Yet it is working on a piecemeal plan to right the wrong that was a built-in feature of the minivans.

Maybe at some later time in the future, Honda will fix this issue and prove that it cares for the safety and security of its consumers. This is not the first time that Honda has faced such a situation. Honda will email notifications to owners of minivans regarding the fault.
