Samsung dismissed the Galaxy S9 CES 2018 unveil rumors, saying, “It is unlikely.”

It has been widely reported during past two week that Samsung is planning to unveil its new flagship smartphone Galaxy S9 during the CES 2018 in January.

Samsung was previously expected to unveil Galaxy S9 during the Mobile World Congress in February or in March in its own launch event. Almost all the big media outlets, including The Verge, Engadget, VentureBeat, reported about the expected launch of Samsung Galaxy S9 at CES 2018.

However, Samsung dismissed the speculation of an earlier launch at CES this year. Samsung reportedly told The Korea Herald that the Galaxy S9 launch at CES 2018 “is unlikely.”

But Samsung’s spokesperson has declined to make any official comments. According to The Korea Herald he said that “We do not provide any information related to the product not released.”
