Rinspeed Snap Autonomous Concept Car Debuts at CES 2018

Rinspeed Snap gives us a Glimpse of Future Mobility at the CES 2018

The public and private dichotomy is probably false and will most likely merge in the near future as will be demonstrated at the CES 2018.

At least if you look at it from the angle of Swiss design house Rinspeed, such a scenario is not as alien as it seems to us right now.

The Swiss mobility visionary is responsible for many out-of-this-world schemes such as Oasis and Stos. It will occupy a special place at the CES 2018 which will be held in Las Vegas.

The Snap concept car is the very thing which is needed for electric vehicles and level 5 autonomy. It is a modular capacity we are looking at here and it happens to be the wave of the future. Rinspeed has designed an elaborate and unparalleled mobility ecosystem in Snap.

The hardware and software stuff, made by Rinspeed boss Frank M. Rinderknecht, is recycled and renovated at the drop of a hat.

The pod which is supposed to carry passengers is supposed to run on a skateboard chassis. Disintegration of this over time is something which is written and so maintenance is a must. The changing of the pod to a novel skateboard is where the crux of the matter lies.

This new concept has placed the very idea of mass market transportation on its head. Yet it is feasible provided a little effort is put into it. Snap will not only showcase its features at the CES 2018 but provide the public with a demo later at the Geneva Auto Show 2018.

CES 2018 will run through January 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The world's biggest tech show will have 11 official venues at Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center (LVCC). This show spans 2.5 million net square feet of exhibit space. CES 2018 features 24 product categories and more than 20 Marketplaces.
