A knockoff version of one of the world’s biggest crypto wallets 'MyEtherWallet' makes it way to the top of the app store despite Apple’s rigorous vetting process

Most of the times when we are installing any app from the App Store, we are relying on the fact that the authorities behind the App Store and the other users’ reviews. If it is there and it has great reviews from other users and it is among the top three of the finance category, it seems legit to download the app.

The app which has been masquerading as to the top of the iOS App Store charts and toppled bitcoin exchange Coinbase top Apple’s free download list in the U.S. in the process, according to TechCrunch.

The fake site will record the home delivery address which is legally sharable. It allows users to create or import a wallet to store cryptocurrencies independently of an exchange. That means that the website will have full detailed information about the users wallet and finances.
