CES 2018: FEV Autonomous Development Vehicle Makes US Debut

North American Unveiling of FEV Autonomous Smart Vehicle Demonstrator vehicle at the CES 2018

FEV will be showcasing its smart technology at the CES 2018 which is due to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada soon. The streets of Sin City will light up with such cutting edge works as the FEV Smart Vehicle Demonstrator car.

This will be a part of the technology and development forum. Customers will be taken from here to there and back in FEV’s scheme. That is between the Bellagio Hotel and the Las Vegas Convention Center. The vehicle will however be operated by a representative of the company.

This smart vehicle uses an SAE Level 5 automated driving scheme. This has been approved of by the US Department of Transportation. FEV manufactured the technology on its own and has made it a part of its vehicle.

Such latest devices as sensors, interfaces, radar, GPS, differential GPS, several cameras and last but not least LIDAR facility allow the vehicle to travel down the road without the need for any driving agent. The sensors can keep track of the environment surrounding the car.

Algorithms make this autonomous car a possibility. Two types of hardware are also available on board this vehicle. V2X connectivity and an ICU allow the incorporation of 5G standards in this self-driving concept which will debut at the CES 2018.

CES 2018 will run through January 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The world's biggest tech show will have 11 official venues at Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center (LVCC). This show spans 2.5 million net square feet of exhibit space. CES 2018 features 24 product categories and more than 20 Marketplaces.
