iOS 11.2.1/11.2 untethered Jailbreak has been successfully achieved and shown off

iOS 11.2.1/11.2 are among the latest iOS versions and are pitched as the most secure OS versions in the history of the iOS operating system. But it seems like the people over at Alibaba Pandora Labs are no smalltime hackers, as they have recently teased an iPhone X that is jailbroken fully untethered.

The jailbreak has been discussed by one Song Yang of the Alibaba Pandora Labs, where he successfully installed Cydia in an iPhone X and allows the device to be rebooted as we have seen in other untethered experiences. However, there is a huge catch: the group of hackers/developers have no intention of releasing the jailbreak publicly.

The statement that was released by Alibaba Pandora Labs was very different from other hackers, but it delivered just about the same message that a number of hackers did before jumping ships with Apple. Alibaba Pandora Labs issued a statement where they told that iOS 11 has fixed a number of security issues, but they had confirmation that the new iOS version will be able to be jailbroken on the first day of its release.

The statement then carried on informing the public that the work of the lab is limited to security research purposes and no jailbreak will be posted publicly by the team. People are searching for hope in this statement and some have even found it. Many people say that there is a little ambiguity in the statement.

The statement says that they cannot share any jailbreak, but what about the exploit that was the base of this jailbreak? Many people also pointed out that the statement doesn’t imply that this jailbreak will not be released after Apple has patched this security issue in a new update. This has got many people hoping that Alibaba Pandora Labs will release the jailbreak after a security update by Apple is released.
