Drone Can Land on Stairs and Slopes According to New LG Patent

LG doesn't make drone, but thinks about them.

We are not aware of any LG Electronics drones on the market, yet the company raises attention about their drone inventions. Last year a video showing a Flying LG U Plus Smartphone surfaced that got renewed attention in November. LG merged a smartphone with a pocket drone. You can watch the video with that crazy idea at the end of the report.

Now a new LG patent surfaced that describes an intelligent landing gear for drones. The technology allows drones to land on different level steps and on slopes. The drone detects the landing surface and adjusts its leg length or angle of the landing contraption.

The patent filing and the drone concept video are an indicator that LG is up to something in the drone segment. It could well be that LG Electronics will unveil their first commercially available drone at the CES 2018 next month.

LG's drone patent was spotted in the European WIPO database by LetsGoDigital. The patent has been likely filed before in South Korea.
