SNES Classic: Where to Find it in Stock ahead of Christmas Day

Here is how to find SNES Classic ahead of Christmas.

Amazon sells the SNES Classic since Monday through Prime Now in select cities. Sales were slow and the SNES Classic stayed in stock for up to two days in some areas. You can actually find the SNES Classic now in stock on Prime Now for ZIP 75204 and six other cities. It was clear that Amazon will eventually sell the SNES Classic on amazon.com. The Super NES Classic appeared as Lightning Deal at around 6:15pm ET on Dec. 22.

The SNES Classic stock was available for almost two hours. Amazon has not sold the SNES Classic on amazon.com in ages. Shopping for the SNES Classic online starts to not get you the console in time for Christmas.

You can still find the SNES Classic in stores this weekend. Many Target stores just lit up on in-store inventory tracker iStockNow. Walmart stores are another option to find the SNES Classic before Christmas Day. If a reasonable number of GameStop, ToysRUs and Best Buy stores have the SNES Classic in stock is not clear, but you always can get lucky.

The demand for the SNES Classic is nowhere near the demand for the NES Classic last year ahead of the Holidays. Most consumers who wanted a SNES Classic got one by now. Nintendo shipped a huge number SNES Classic units ahead of the Holidays. The company also shipped enough Nintendo Switch consoles. We don't see any shortage there. Nintendo has sold 10 million Nintendo Switch units in the first 9 months. It's time to free Nintendo from the stigma of keeping the supply of their gaming consoles short.

Nintendo has so far sold over 2 million SNES Classic units to date. The SNES Classic comes bundled with an HDMI cable, a USB charging cable, two Super NES Classic Controllers, and 21 games, pre-installed and ready-to-play. The 16-bit retro console, first introduced in the 90s is also compatible with the Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro accessories.
