How to Watch the Byton World Premiere Media Event at CES 2018

The first Byton car will be unveiled on Sunday at the CES 2018.

Car startup Byton (Byte on Wheels) is set to reveal its first car today at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas. Rooted in China, Byton has R&D offices in Germany and the United States. The top executives of Byton are actually coming from BMW. The head designer of Byton, Benoit Jacob, has design the BMW i3 and i8. The background of the executive team gives Byton a lot of credibilities.

The details released so far about the first Byton car are exciting. Byton calls its car a next-generation smart device. Above you see the giant screen integrated into the dashboard that can be controlled by front and rear passengers with gestures. The futuristic-looking Byton is apparently not as far away. Byton's intelligent electric car will be manufactured at the company's plant in Nanjing, China and available in China in 2019.

The car will be available in the U.S. and Europe in 2020. Byton's subsequent sedan and multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) will be designed and produced based on the same platform. Elon Musk's Tesla could have finally found a serious contender.

To witness the reveal of the Byton car you do not have to be in Las Vegas at the CES 2018. Byton will stream the world premiere of the Byton car live on its website byton.com starting at 3pm PDT ( 6pm ET). The Byton car will be on display at the CES show floor and test drives will be available outside of the halls starting Monday.
