Anheuser Busch InBev beer brand Bud Light has landed a viral hit end of last year with the phrase "Dilly Dilly." The phrase was first uttered in a medievally themed ad (watch below) released in August titled "Banquet." Dilly Dilly is used as kind of a toast and approval.

The meaning of "Dilly Dilly" can be found rooted in a short version of delightful used in the 1930s or even further back. The Bud Light marketers prefer the definition that it means nothing. They are thrilled to come across a phrase that went viral and entered pop culture - now they are riding it until this horse is dead.

There will be a trilogy of Dilly Dilly commercials with the last one airing during the Super Bowl 2018 game, according to AdWeek. The first ad of the Dilly Dilly trilogy is called Wizard and you can watch it at the end of this report. The second new Dilly Dilly ad will air on January 21 during the NFC and AFC Championship Games.

Bud Light is using the Dilly Dilly campaign also to promote Super Bowl ticket for life sweepstakes. Winners get four Super Bowl tickets annually, up to 30 years.
