First movie studios confirmed Super Bowl 2018 movie trailers.

Movie trailers make up a big part of the Super Bowl ad line-up each year. The movie studios use the huge Super Bowl audience to hype new movie releases in February, but also push the summer's biggest blockbusters.

Paramount and Universal have confirmed to Variety that they have bought advertising space in the Super Bowl 2018 broadcast on NBC. 30 seconds cost north of $5 million, but have not hit $6 million just yet. Both studios have declined to reveal details on which movies will get a Super Bowl 2018 ad. There are though some strong candidates for each studio.

Paramount studios might promote the naughty gnomes in the animated feature Sherlock Gnomes, releasing in March. The movie stars Johnny Depp and Emily Blunt as voice talents. What is it with animated naughty gnomes these days? German Media Markt had gnomes in their Holiday ad that got naked too.

The new Mission: Impossible 6 summer blockbuster is likely getting a Super Bowl treatment this year. Tom Cruise is yet again super-agent Ethan Hunt. The movie made headlines last summer as Tom Cruise hurt himself during one of his daring stunts.

Universal is very likely running a Fifty Shades Freed Super Bowl ad as the movie will be in theaters for Valentine's Day. Summer blockbuster Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is another possibility for a Super Bowl 2018 trailer.

Walt Disney, 20th Century Fox and Time Warner have not revealed any plans to advertise movies in the Super Bowl 2018. The Super Bowl 2018 ads chart is slowly shaping up. Super Bowl advertisers are announcing their expensive commercials closer to the Big Game as consumers attention span is decreasing. The Super Bowl 2018 social media and marketing campaigns will kick off in the week before the Super Bowl taking place on Sunday, Feb. 4. Read the latest Super Bowl 2018 ad news.
