Intel’s Shooting Star Mini Drones are a Swell Form of High Technology

Intel has been holding its drone-based light shows since awhile. These shows included a pre-taped airing at the halftime event on the last Superbowl. At its CES 2018 keynote address, the company debuted a novel version of these drones named Shooting Star Mini drones.

What is new about these drones?

They are very small and can be flown in an indoor environment right over the noggins of the people in the audience. These drones do not need any GPS system either. Intel finished off its keynote with a light show. It was a fancy event.

As the small drones flew in 3D, they formed arrays and did acrobatics to Kygo’s song “Stargazing”. However, for those who wish to buy one, there are a few limitations for now. It is not a drone that can be purchased straight from the shelf in a supermarket.

Intel has no intentions of selling them for use in homes. They are meant for light shows as arranged by such giants as Intel. You just program them and then let them loose in the air. They engage in all sorts of antics in the air and do not need to be coordinated externally. The choreography almost seems to be magical in nature.
