At CES 2018, Western Digital Unveils Voice-Activated Media Streaming via Smart Home Devices, the World’s Smallest 1TB USB Flash Drive and a New Series of High-Performance Portable SSDs
Data storage has never had it so good. As devices get smaller and smaller, it almost seems like one day in the near future one of them will simply disappear into thin air. The pleasure of seeing technology shrink is one which is kind of surreal when you think about it. Take Sandisk which has come out with its latest prototype. Space-crunching will never be the same again. It is something that Sandisk excels at. A one terabyte USB-C storage capacity lies in this little device. It is a dongle meant for your laptop, tablet or Android smartphone. The gadget is very mini-sized and almost cute to observe.
When it will come to store shelves is a moot point. There remains one downside to this contraption though. It will be very easy to misplace since it is so small that just seeing it requires some effort on the part of the beholder.
A wireless SSD by Sandisk is also here. It happens to possess a single touch button. This device serves as a power bank for charging your electronic gadget. The prices range from $250 for the 250GB model to $800 for the 2TB version.
