Nintendo Released Nintendo Direct Mini with Switch Game News

The rumored January Nintendo Direct is released.

Nintendo surprised this morning with the release of a Nintendo Direct mini broadcast. The 14-minute presentation introduces a bunch of new 2018 Nintendo Switch games.

New announced Nintendo Switch games include Parise The Sun, Mario Tennis Aces, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Kirby Star Allies, Hyrule Warriors and more. Kirby Star Allies will be released on March 16.

The Nintendo Direct also announced a free update to Super Mario Odyssey coming in February. The update introduces Luigi's Balloon World.

Pokkén Tournament DX will also get updates this year in two waves. The first wave hits January 31 and the second will be released on March 23. The Pokkén Tournament DX Battle Pack DLC is going on sale today for $14.99.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA will be released on Nintendo Switch this summer. The World Ends with You Remixed is making a comeback on the Switch after a 10-year break in 2018. The new Dragon Quest Builders is available as a demo today in the eShop.

The January Nintendo Direct was already expected last night, but Nintendo waited until 9 am ET to release the packed direct broadcast. The Nintendo Switch is off to great 2018 with plenty of new games and great update to existing blockbuster games.
