The Vuzix Blade AR Glasses with Alexa are the star of CES 2018.
The new Vuzix Blade AR smartglasses with Amazon Alexa integration are the most talked about voice-enabled device at the CES 2018. The $1,000 AR glasses will be released later this year aimed at enterprise users and early adopters. Prices should come down as the enterprise adopts the glasses in a big way.
Vuzix is in the business of smart glasses for over 20 years. We have reported about their glasses many times over the years. The new Vuzix Blade with Alexa is getting the most attention of any of their previous products. The Vuzix stock (VUZI) jumped on the reveal of the Vuzix Blade, mostly because of the Alexa integration. The Blade augmented reality capabilities look solid as well as the gesture interface on the temple.
Cheddar has released an interesting video interview with Vuzix COO Paul Boris talking about the applications of the Vuzix Blade and future plans. The Vuzix Blade could be the first AR smart glasses that will catch on and not go down the path of Google Glass.
